I met Erica & Steven at a previous bride’s wedding where Erica was a bridesmaid herself. Towards the end of that wedding day when the two of them were sharing a dance, Erica called me over & told me, “When this guy (pointing at Steven) proses I’ll be calling you to be our photographer.” So imagine my excitement when her name popped up in my email for a inquiry about wedding day photography!? I was thrilled that she was still interested in having me capture such a special occasion for them, but mostly because Steven had finally popped the question!!
When I say that a lot of hard work & planning went into this bringing fall wedding day from ideas to life, I am not just saying that because doing so for such a event is always a feet to conquer. I say because Erica literally poured her soul into diy-ing (it’s verb, I promise) pretty much the ENTIRE wedding day. From the seating chart, to the decor, down to the wedding party personalized gifts. If you ask me, it totally paid off.
Although the weather could not for the life of it make up it’s mind for most of the day, it seemed that mother natured had this couples best interest in mind just in time for the ceremony. With over cast skies, & the perfect amount of a breeze the ceremony setting was perfect for the two to become one. Facing the river from the East Port Marina made for a gorgeous back drop to the ceremony images.
The night ended with a room full of people who love Erica & Steven dearly, dancing in celebration to a marriage that no doubt will last a lifetime!
