Allison & Clint’s wedding day was one I was really looking forward to, because I first met Allison as a bridesmaid in one of my 2018 weddings. (Shout out to Alexa & Josiah!! Love ya!!) She told me back then that when Clint put a ring on it, she would be contacting me. Fast forward to October 2019 to a tag on a cow’s ear with the words “will you marry me” & I found myself very excited in a Starbucks with the newly engaged couple talking about THIER wedding day!!
Little did we know at that time, so much would be going on around their celebration of marriage. Of course the corona virus took us all by surprise & changed SO many things for everyone involved with weddings in 2020. But I was also side swiped personally, when just a week before these two said “I do” to forever, our littlest nugget was admitted to the hospital with a feeding tube. When Allison heard what had happened she offered for me to not even show up to photograph her wedding!! These are the kind of people who are trusting me with their wedding days, & it still knocks me off my feet how incredibly lucky I am to be there to witness their first day as hubby & wifey!!
Of course I was so still there to capture it all. (Raelee was doing well with the new diagnosis and was in good hand back at home with Dada & company.) Dare I say it was even kind of nice to have a change of pace, & be engulfed in a whole day that was just so full of love!?
Thank you Allison & Clint, for allowing me to hang out with you on your best day ever, & bringing some much needed light into my life during such a hard time. Your understanding & support through it all was more than I expected since you too were finding yourself in a hard time while planning your wedding day.
Cheers to saying yes to marriage during a pandemic, & to Rae being tube free!! 🙂
